UK [m2s] Gaming Clan
Welcome to the [m2s] UK Gaming Clan web site.

We are an online community of gamers, both friends and family.

[m2s] are primarily a dedicated 'Battle Field 2' gaming clan. However we also branch to other gaming titles such as 'Left For Dead 2', the 'Call Of Duty' series and console based games.

We currently have two dedicated Ranked Rackage Battle Field 2 servers as well as a dedicated Left For Dead 2 ranked server.

Our admin's play to a strict rule policy to which we enforce and believe enhances the game for all players on the server.

Members of [m2s] use the enhanced functionality of Teamspeak 3 as well as standard voip to communicate during game play.

The use of our forum is open to all visitors and is the main hub for day to day management of the [m2s] clan. Feel free to join our forum / community of gamers and register for enrolment within our clan.

[m2s] Servers are paid for by [m2s] members. We also accept donations payable via paypal payment service.
Such donations are used to maintain the monthly rental costs of the Dedicated Ranked Servers.
All donations are appreciated by the [m2s] UK Gaming Clan.

[m2s] was formed in 2002 by Devildog who recruited a few friends and like minded people to play the Half Life Mod Counterstrike.

$icknote joined the clan a few months later and got involved with maintaining and administrating the clan.
[m2s] played in the ED league until Jan 2007 as the clan had become inactive for a few months due to players getting bored with Counterstrike and family / life commitments.

A few of the m2s members; $icknote, D-Tox, Tankgirl and Da-Vinci (mtommo78) decided to rent a Battlefield 2 server and join Clanbase to play wars.

Since then, Generalalarmuk and Nutty have come on board to help run the clan as with many other dedicated members and administrators to progress the clan to where we are today.

As with two dedicated Battle Field 2 ranked servers, [m2s] have branched to further expand the broad requirements of it's clan members.
[m2s] have recently invested in a Left For Dead 2 dedicated server, as well as expanding paths to multi player console based games.

} We require that you initially join our forum. This is the hub for all [m2s] UK Gaming Clan activities including day to day management and keeping in-touch with the community.

} Once registered, we would recommend reading and understanding the [m2s] Server Rules.

} To register for a trial , visit the Recruitment Section after having read our Terms of Service.

} Our recruitment officer Generalalarmuk will be in touch shortly with basic instructions and information for the Teamspeak interface.

} Your trial shall begin for a period where [m2s] members shall review your status both on the [m2s] Servers and within the forum.

[m2s] enforce the following rules so that a pleasant game can be had by all members and players. Please following these rules or risk being kicked or even banned from the server.

} Admin's
[m2s] Admin's / members are to be treated with respect and any form of abuse/harassment will get you permanently banned. Any player impersonating an admin will be punished.

} No Using Macros
We do not allow the use of Macros on our servers. If we suspect anyone of using them, we will ban them immediately and reveiw server demos later.
} No Spawn Killing / Raping or Flag Camping Killing / Raping
Spawn or Flag Camping / Raping will not be tolerated, continually killing without trying to cap the flag or continually returning to the same flag will result in a Kick / Ban

} Bunnyhopping
We class Bunnyhopping as 3 or more hops/jumps to avoid getting shot.

} Behavior
No forms of racism, abuse or harassment will not be tolerated; any abuse will get you banned.

} BF2 Voip
Voip is always on so please use.
If commanders don't use voip they face getting kicked.
Respect fellow players. This means no swearing, harassment, racism, sexual remarks, spamming or anything else that can be deemed offensive.

} Do not engage in disruptive play, a few examples are:
Blowing up vehicles to stop others getting in them.
Text spamming
The deliberate blocking of teammates
Destroying friendly assets
Intentional team killing / contributing to being team killed. (i.e. jumping in front of vehicles)
No Base camping of uncapable bases (large red circle with a line through the centre). We encourage sportsmanship in this situation, so as to allow the opposition time to regroup.

} Capped Flags and Red Areas
There is NO attacking uncapped areas (red areas).
Only Spec Ops are allowed in red areas to take out enemy assets.
Airfields in uncapable areas are classed as red areas as is artillery (except usmc on Oman) and the Island on wake this can only be bombing if someone is on the stinger.
Do not try and use 'I was just bombing UAV / Scanner / Arty' as an excuse for bombing an uncapped base because it won't be accepted.
Only Spec-Ops can enter capped flags to destroy strategic targets (UAV / Scanner / Artillery).
Do not deliberately kill players in red areas but you can defend yourself if they shoot first.
Do not lay Claymores, AT Mines or C4 in red areas as it will result in a Kick / Ban.
If you want a quick escape take a jeep and nothing else.

} Stealing Vehicles
No stealing vehicles from uncapped, Spec-Ops can take a Jeep / Car to escape uncapped but nothing else.
If you get caught stealing vehicles (other than a Jeep) you will get kicked.
Do not steal vehicles from your team mates i.e. take Helicopter while capping flag or driving off as flag is capped

} Cheating
We record all live games so we can review incidents
Uses of any hacks, bugs or map exploit will result in a permanent ban.

} Team Jumping / Swapping Sides
Swapping sides to get the best planes will get you kicked.
Switching Teams because you are losing or joining the server and choosing the winning team.
Please stay on the side the server put you on or you will be kicked, Admin's will try and make the teams fair whenever possible.
If you want to swap sides ask an admin 1st - as if you swap you will likely to be kicked (this also goes for Clans wanting to play together, just ask!)

} Stats Padding
Stat Padding is the act of receiving undeserved points due to abnormal and unhelpful game play.
One of the most common occurrences is when 2 support players go out to the middle of nowhere and alternate tossing a grenade, then re supplying the other, each time getting 1 re supplying point.
The extreme of Stat Padding is when a player coordinates with one or more players on the opposite team to get an enormous amount of kills. For example, a USMC player hides away with 2 MEC medics. The US player will kill one of the medics, then the other will revive him, earning the US player 2 points for a kill, and the MEC player 2 point for a revive, all undeserved. This process can be repeated indefinitely, as the kill does not reduce the ticket count of the other team. This is how some players have best round scores of 800+.
Some players consider skill concentration to be Stat Padding, but this is simply not true. Running around wielding only a pistol in order to get a pistol badge is NOT stat padding. On a side note, Stat Padding violates the EA Ranked EULA. Thousands of players have already had their accounts reset due to excessive Stat Padding. Getting caught doing it on one of our Servers will result in a perm ban

} Commander Fighting / Misuse of Commander Drops
No Commander Fighting what-so-ever. Fighting will result in a Kick / Ban.
No Cartillery - dropping of vehicles or crates purposely onto people resulting in killing them.
No dropping Artillery on uncapable flags.
If you drop crates / cars on players they don't want you will take the risk of being kicked as your giving away the position of your teammates.

} Ban Lengths for Rule Breakers
Generally we will warn before kicking but if you kill someone while breaking a rule you will automatically get kicked
Breaking of Rules. Admin's will decide on severity of the offence.
Stealing vehicles from uncapped = Kick to Permanent Ban
Tk'ing and disruptive behavior = 24 hours to Permanent Ban
Offensive behavior to Admin or players = Permanent Ban
Stat padding = Permanent Ban (Will not be lifted, ever).
Cheating = Permanent Ban (Will not be lifted, ever).
Racism = Permanent Ban (Will not be lifted, ever).
Note: Ban lengths will vary depending on the severity of the offence and repeat offenders can expect their Bans to increase in length each time .

Appeals can be raised with [m2s] Admin's within the forum and raise an appeal with our administrators by visiting the 'FAO Admin' section.
